They say that technology never stops—and this is the truth that’s ringing in with the release of the Huawei P40 series. With the launch of its three new flagship smartphones, the tech company is looking to revolutionize how we document everything, from the mundane scenes of daily life to memory-making experiences that we won’t want to forget.
Are we ready?
The Huawei P40 series is collectively powered by Kirin 990 5G, which supports high-speed 5G and Wi-Fi 6 Plus. Each unit—the Huawei P40, Huawei P40 Pro and Huawei P40 Pro+—features robust AI performance and power efficiency. And with the EMUI 10.1 operating system in place, a host of new features enable a richer and more holistic AI experience.
Specifically, the Huawei MeeTime supports 1080p Full HD video calls on the brand’s smartphones, tablets and Vision TV to deliver crisp quality, even in low light or weak signal conditions. Moreover, Huawei Share facilitates high-speed file transfers between the P40 series and other Huawei devices, such as tablets and desktops.

And in terms of its promise of camera innovations, all three flagships are equipped with the advanced Ultra Vision Leica camera system—in triple-camera, quad-camera and penta-camera configurations.
The series also includes Huawei’s largest CMOS sensor, measuring 1/1.28 inches diagonally. This supports pixel binning, which achieves a pixel size of 2.44?m and Full Pixel Octa PD AutoFocus for high-speed focus at any time of day. Meanwhile, the Huawei XD Fusion Engine integrates and processes data from multiple cameras to generate comprehensive improvement in picture quality.
