Immerse yourself in the mesmerizing world of French Impressionism in Monet & Friends Alive, which will run for a strictly limited season from Tuesdays to Sundays starting January 31 at the BGC Arts Center, Taguig. For the very first time in the Philippines, you can indulge your senses with the sights and sounds of 19th-century Europe as seen through the eyes of Claude Monet and other impressionist painters like Camille Pissarro, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne, Edgar Degas and many more.

While the French Impressionists' depictions of modernity, movement, light and shadow have long been emulated by generations of artists and admired worldwide for more than 150 years, it was never as accessible or displayed at this scale.

A brief history of Impressionism

 

After successfully bringing to life the vibrant works of Vincent Van Gogh through Van Gogh Alive, the Bonifacio Art Foundation Inc. partners with Grande Experiences once again to make these iconic artworks accessible to local Filipino audiences. 

 

Monet & Friends Alive is a large-scale, multi-sensory and world-class art experience that celebrates the art of various French Impressionists. Their works are brought to life through an incredible application of light, made possible by immersive technology.

 

 

Set to a powerful classical score, viewers are surrounded by a stunning display of iconic and inspirational images that showcase the full breadth of the Impressionist movement. Various breathtaking paintings are projected at an enormous scale, illuminating the bold brushstrokes of the artists. Here, you’ll get lost in the vibrant colors and intricate details of the Impressionists' works. You also get the chance to examine the Impressionists' sources of inspiration through the photographs and videos displayed alongside their paintings.
