It’s no secret how uncertainty we face in the pandemic has caused unrelenting anxiety. Now that we’re no longer cooped up at home with looser guidelines in the country, I’ve rediscovered a new side of myself. I’ve always had an erratic relationship with fitness; during the earlier rigid lockdowns, I was either gaining or losing weight. From at-home workouts (many thanks to YouTube), I’ve slowly transitioned to sweating it out at the gym, and there’s nothing quite like it.
I’m already on my second month of working out, and I’ve seen extensive improvements in my body and my everyday frame of mind. I don’t only consider myself stronger, but more joyful as well.
It still feels surreal that we’re no longer locked up at home. We get to explore unlimited sides of ourselves by rekindling our love for life outside.
