realme 10 Pro 5G Review: An Optimal Update That’s Not Heavy On The Wallet

We stan affordable gadgets

Gone are the days when a smartphone update happened yearly. We used to switch up our digital partners faster than we could wear out that year’s school shoes. But with the increasing prices of ~everything~ from onions to gas, we’ve all become a little more conscious. We’re looking for practicality in our smartphones, something that can deliver what we need—not the latest fashion choice. Enter: the realme 10 Pro 5G.

Specs, specs, specs

You can’t talk about a smartphone without first talking about the specs. So let’s get into it.

The device boasts a refresh rate of 120Hz, which delivers a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. It has a dual rear camera system, with the main lens shooting at 108MP with the Samsung HM6 lens and paired with a 2MP lens. There’s a 16MP front camera, too, for people that love to take selfies.

Out of the box, the device runs on realme UI 4.0, which is based on Android 13. The realme 10 Pro 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 695 5G chipset with an Adreno 619 GPU. All this aside, all you really need to know is that it will get you what you need.

Look and design

The realme 10 Pro 5G (8GB+256GB) comes in three colors: Dark Matter, Hyperspace Gold and Nebula Blue. The entire series introduced Boundless Display as the brand brings a 120Hz Large Flagship Tier Displays, making it practically bezel-less. And with the TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification, you can rest easy knowing there’s less strain to your eyes. It even has a Double-Reinforced Glass for added durability.

If you’re looking at the measurements, the realme 10 Pro 5G has a 6.72” FHD+ LCD screen. The device also has the classic (and should stay a classic) 3.5mm audio jack. Keeping things traditional, realme opted to ditch the more modern curved display, which means the unit has a flat screen that’s easy to touch and navigate.

Actual use

If we’re being honest, there’s not much that the realme 10 Pro 5G revolutionizes. It’s perfect for work, play and daily use. It shoots videos, takes pictures, lets you work on-the-go and lets you play when you can score some recreational time. There is nothing more to ask for, because it delivers what it promises: efficiency, ease of use and just the right amount of power.

Besides, with a price of P16,999, it’s affordable for what it offers. So if you’re looking for an upgrade that you won’t regret and won’t break the bank, this one’s for you.

Pre-order the realme 10 Pro 5G from February 27 to March 10, 2023 through on-ground realme stores, Claiming period is from March 11 to 12, 2023.
