Level Up Your Everyday Listening Experience With The realme Buds Q

A first for the brand, the Buds Q offers stylish, True Wireless earbuds at an entry-level price

It’s finally here—the realme Buds Q! The first in-ear True Wireless earbuds by the brand designed by French artist and Hermès cooperated designer José Lévy. These earbuds are perfect for remote meetings, learning from home or listening to music in your down time. But with growing options in the market, it can be a challenge to stand out. The Buds Q, however, holds its own and has caught the attention of many (myself included) looking for ergonomic, as well as, life-bettering devices to stay connected. Even more so now that we are forced to multitask as we do it all from home (for sure it’s not just me, right?).

At a glance, the realme Buds Q is inconspicuous but sleek in design. Available in black, the subtle pop of yellow at the tips, noticeable only when you flip or change the tips, is a nice touch. It’s like a little secret between you and your device. Meanwhile the size and the rounded out edges of the cradle or charging case, as well as the buds make it easier to grip, hold and wear. I’ve had a few in the past in varying shapes and sizes, and they were either too boxy to grip or too bulky to fit in my ears.

Ergonomic, lightweight, stylish and water resistant, there’s really nothing more I can ask for on the physical front.

What truly caught my attention about the Buds Q, however, is audio quality at a competitive price point (it retails for P1,490). Previous earbuds I’ve tried were a couple of hundreds higher but weren’t able to tick the boxes on my list of what a seamless listening experience should be. But the Buds Q, as I’ve tested the past two days and counting, is true to its claims. It delivers sublime sound thanks to its 10mm Large Driver and a Dynamic Bass Boost. No fuzzy or distorted sound so far!

Best of all, it connects to your device (laptop in my case) in an instant. This was a major peeve for me with my past gadgets; I had to pair or reconnect whenever I would use it before I could listen to music or hear the other person at the end of the line. But with realme’s earbuds, you just switch on your Bluetooth and connect to the Buds Q for the first use and it’ll automatically connect the next time.

Battery life is also one of its strong suits. realme’s charging case boasts 20 hours worth of total playback. So you can listen to hours of calls, music, gaming and even video streaming in a single use. And I won’t contest; I’ve used the Buds Q for meetings (3 to 5, 1-hour meetings in a day) and listening to music (30 minutes to an hour maybe twice a day) while I work and I haven’t charged it since.

If you ask me, the realme Buds Q ticks all the boxes on my list and levels up the everyday listening experience.
