Wonder Tech Talk: We’re Getting Smarter In December

Read Time: 3 minutes

Are ya’ll ready for this round of Wonder Tech Talk?

They say Christmas time is a time for giving—which, depending on who you’re speaking with, is either the most fun or most dreaded aspect of the season. But hey, we try to pick our battles over here and if we’re getting on the gift-giving train, we’re going to get on it with the best mindset we can muster.

Besides, all you really need is a good idea.

The Vivo NEX 3

The Vivo NEX 3 is powered by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 855+ and comes with 8GB RAM/128GB ROM, which pretty much ensures you’re putting cutting-edge technology quite literally at the fingertips of your loved ones. It also comes with a 64-megapixel main rear camera, as well as a 13MP wide-angle camera and a 13MP telescopic camera to ensure only the best snaps are snapped. And for your selfie-obsessed friend, the NEX 3 comes with a 16MP front camera—but the latest handset from Vivo is more than just a powerful gadget; it’s looks pretty damn great, too.

Thanks to Touch Sense technology and In-Display Fingerprint Scanning, there are virtually no physical buttons in sight. Just as well, the world’s first AMOLED Waterfall FullView™ Display makes for some stunning visuals.

Priced at P39,999, the Vivo NEX 3 is more than just a smartphone. It’s sophistication and simplicity and power and efficiency—folded up into a neat little package.

The Vivo NEX 3 is available at all Vivo stores nationwide.

The realme C2, realme 3 Pro and realme 5 Pro

Realme 3 Pro

Realme has made a name for itself in the Philippine smartphone market for its quality devices that are priced at much friendlier points than its competitors. The realme C2, for example, comes with 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM, a 5MP front camera and a 13MP+2MP rear camera and is powered by the 2.0GHz octa-core processor—for the price of P5,490 on Lazada. The realme 3 Pro and realme 5 Pro, on the other hand, are priced at P14,990 and P11,990, respectively.

And in case you aren’t in the loop just yet, those prices are about to drop at Lazada’s 12.12 sale—that’s tomorrow, folks; get yourselves ready.

OPPO F11 Pro, F11 and A3s

Also joining the 12.12 madness is OPPO, as it puts the F11 Pro, F11 and A3s on a discount of as much as P4,000 on Lazada and Shopee. The F11 and the F11 Pro are decked out with an octa-core processor, a 48MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Then there’s the A5s, which is also powered by an octa-core processor, but sports a 13MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera.
