Because we all need a reliable companion to make life easier if not better
In case you missed it, Samsung launched three new flagship tablets in the Tab S8 Series—the Tab S8, Tab S8+ and the brand-new Tab S8 Ultra. And it’s just in time for people like myself looking for a reliable work and play companion in the new normal. Because as the world settles into a new reality, we need a device that makes life a little easier if not better. Android fan or not, you’ll be happy to know that Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Series might just be what you’re looking for. Here’s why:
All three devices are powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Qualcomm’s latest flagship chip. All that extra power allows you to do more without interruptions, whether you’re switching between editing large files online or taking video calls. What else do these tablets have in common? 120Hz screens, which means you can use this device for casual gaming, and the same dual rear cameras composed of a 12MP main and a 6MP ultra-wide cam. However, the image quality has yet to rival that of the Galaxy S22 smartphones. Other shared features include 5G support, fast charging via USB-C up to 45W, quad stereo speakers and the S Pen stylus, which conveniently snaps in place to charge. Significant developments were made on the software, too, with the Tab S8 devices running on Android 12.
Now onto Tab S8 and S8+. Both have similar features in terms of display and refresh rate but the S8+ takes it up a notch with a 12.4in, 2800×1752 AMOLED screen. These models also come with 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage with the latter expandable up to 1TB via microSD. Meanwhile, the selfie lens, supports face unlock and is best supplemented with the fingerprint sensor mounted on the side for the S8 and in-display on the S8+. The battery is also bigger on the S8+ at 10,090mAh versus the S8’s 8,000mAh.
While we’re more than satisfied with the upgrades, the best bits are found in the Tab S8 Ultra. Boasting a whopping 14.6in display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and an impressive 11,200mAh battery, it stands out at 208mm tall and 326mm wide. The 120Hz AMOLED display has a resolution of 2960×1848 and a notch for the selfie camera, which has a 12Mp ultra-wide lens joined by 12Mp wide. With the S8 Ultra, you also get 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage with the latter expandable up to 1TB.
But whichever model you choose from the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Series, trust that the electronics giant came to play with upgrades that make it a great device for both entertainment and productivity. Because who’s to say can’t mix work and play?
