Wonder Treats: The Sweetest Christmas At Rustan’s

In case The Sweetest Christmas At Rustan’s is to your appetite (and budget)

There are multiple things that signal the start of Christmas around here: opening old balikbayan boxes that contain red and green decorations, Jose Mari Chan’s Christmas In Our Hearts playing for the first time on radios, the endless posts about –ber months and the onslaught of people at malls. But there’s another thing, too: seeing the Rustan’s windows along Ayala Avenue in Makati light up.

At the tail end of last month, on October 24, The Sweetest Christmas At Rustan’s officially launched, signaling deals for the holiday no one would have wanted to miss. For that day and that day only, there were deals that ranged from 10% to 50% off regular prices, for items that covered Home, Beauty, Jewelry, Women’s, Men’s and Kids. Brands like Pottery Barn, Philips, Benefit, Dyptique, Montblanc, Jewelmer, Kate Spade, Dune, Tommy Hilfiger, Kenneth Cole, Lego and Shopkins took part in the festivities that had shoppers in a frenzy.

After all, how often do you get brands like these at price points like those in a single place?

But in case you didn’t hit the one-day-only sale, don’t worry: The Sweetest Christmas At Rustan’s is a gift that keeps giving. With a single-receipt purchase of at least P15,000, a special assorted dozen of Krispy Kreme donuts are yours. And if you have the financial appetite for it, a single-receipt purchase of P100,000 will get you a bottle of Henriot Brut Souverain to take home.

But okay, not all of us have that kind of money to drop on a single-receipt. So if you still prefer the homemade charm of gifts, Rustan’s also has its arts and crafts weekends for kids at every store on November 16, 23, 30 and December 7, 14 and 15.
