Wonder Treats: It’s Starting To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Wonder Treats: It’s Starting To Look A Lot Like Christmas

We have a lot lined up for this month’s Wonder Treats

There are multiple things that signal the start of Christmas around here: opening old balikbayan boxes that contain red and green decorations, Jose Mari Chan’s Christmas In Our Hearts playing for the first time on radios, the endless posts about –ber months and the onslaught of people at malls. But there are other things, too.

Rustan’s display windows are always something to admire, but the Christmas season really is a special one. Celebrating The Sweetest Christmas At Rustan’s, the windows along the Ayala branch are all for spreading the holiday cheer in colorful fashion that anyone and everyone can enjoy.

What’s more, Rustan’s also has its arts and crafts weekends for kids at every store on November 16, 23, 30 and December 7, 14 and 15 for handmade gifts!

How Lovely, Jack Daniel’s Holiday Barrel Tree

Wonder Treats: It’s Starting To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Jack Daniel’s continues its special Lynchburg tradition of putting up and lighting the JD Holiday Barrel Tree in key locations all over the world. Using repurposed whiskey barrels, the brand shares the same message as it did three years ago: “It’s not what’s under the tree that matters. It’s who’s around it.”

Visit the tree at Fuente Circle in Eastwood City, C1 Park in BGC right by Jack Daniel’s first ever pop-up bar or on November 29 at Mile Hi Center, Camp John Hay in Baguio City.

Also, promo alert! For a limited time only, guests of Jack Daniel’s Bar No. 7 can try Nanbantei of Tokyo’s yakitori sampler with the special JD sauce, paired perfectly with two or four Jack Daniel’s Holiday Highball drinks for both solo and group orders. How’s that for a merry treat? Oh and don’t forget, always drink responsibly.

Ayala Triangle’s Light and Arts Festival goes a little extra

By this time, Ayala Triangle’s Light and Arts Festival is a staple on most Christmas bucket lists. But while this year’s display features smoke effects, laser lights, noodle lights and other such light fixtures that dance to a medley of songs, there’s something new, too: The Carol of Lights.

The Carol of Lights features 3D visual mapping that’s projected at the dome of Tower One and Exchange Plaza. Get lost in the ceilings and stained glass windows of some of the most beautiful churches.

We know, there tends to be a crowd, but you just have to take your pick. After all, the show goes on every 30 minutes from 6PM to 10PM all the way through January 12, 2020.

The welcome newcomer: Greenhills Laser Light Symphony

Offering something different, Greenhills introduces its Laser Light Symphony, the first of its kind in the Philippines. The show features smoke effects, dancing lights and familiar music that will get the crowds swaying to classic Christmas carols. And did we mention that it’s right in the middle of the Christmas Night market, where you can explore different food and apparel merchants?

Catch the Greenhills Laser Light Symphony every 30 minutes from 6PM to 10PM until January 5, 2020 at the G-Strip parking area.

Let’s be different with San Mig Light x PURVEYR 20 Light Years

Christmas isn’t just about the lights and colors and glory; it’s about being present to make the connection we often take for granted in this digital age. And we’re with San Mig Light and PURVEYR as it honors human expressions through its social creative campaign, 20 Light Years.

There’s a small retail collection up for grabs, created in partnership with 20 different Filipino artists and designers. Together, they’ve come together to give us a range of shirts, tote bags, mugs, scarves and coasters—each one celebrating Gender Equality, Arts and Creativity, Community Development or Mental Health.

Check it out (and get buying) at PURVEYR Post in Poblacion.
