2020 launches ahead
February paves the way for new tech launches from a cult favorite in all things tech, the fastest-growing smartphone brand and a classic photography brand. From the best-valued quad camera hero for content creators to a newly-developed, high-performance compact digital camera, this is just the beginning of what the new year has to offer for the tech- obsessed.
Sky-high specs at a ground-level price[one-half-first]
One would think that a triple AI camera setup—a mix of a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 2MP bokeh lens—partnered with a 4000mAh battery, a Kirin 710f processor and 4GB+64GB storage (expandable to 512GB!) would bump up a smartphone’s price to a range no one could easily jump on. But that’s where the Huawei Y7p proves everyone wrong.
At just P9,990, you get specs that pack a punch at price that will still allow you breathe comfortably. Did we mention it has a 90.15% screen-to-body ratio, ensuring you get the best possible viewing experience? Time to pre-order.[/one-half]
Samsung Galaxy A71
Awesome screen, awesome camera, long-lasting battery life
There’s plenty to marvel at where Samsung’s newest Galaxy model is concerned. For instance, there’s the advanced Octa-core processor and 8GB RAM. However, the smartphone’s improvements compared to the last Galaxy iteration are most apparent in the screen, the camera and the battery.
The 6.7-inch screen serves up true-to-life color by way of Super AMOLED Plus color tech. From surfing to gaming and watching movies, the larger screen (and slimmer bezels!) give nothing less than bright, bold and crisp visuals.
The camera—or cameras, rather—deliver on that same promise. Four cameras work together in the A71 Quad Cam to compose superior images: a 64MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and 5MP depth and macro cameras. Over on the front, the Galaxy A71 is fixed with a 32MP for high-resolution selfies. Equipped with a selfie focus feature, the device finishes off those self-taken portraits by framing faces and softly blurring backgrounds.
With all the surfing, streaming and shooting that you can do on this smartphone, it needs to have a battery that can keep up. The Galaxy A71 has a 4,500mAh battery to keep you connected, as well as 25W Super-Fast Charging in case you need reinforcements.
Shop the Samsung Galaxy A71 and the rest of Samsung’s product roster online via Lazada, Abenson and Anson’s, or at the nearest offline store near you. Keep up with Samsung’s latest releases by following their Facebook and Instagram pages.
