Tugatog Filipino Music Festival sets the stage for top Filipino talent
Music festivals have always been one of the pillars of enjoying music as a whole. Crowds pour into the venue to enjoy the thrum and thrill of music performed live. The very experience of being there is irreplaceable. That’s why the music fest scene remains an enduring industry, one that had to get inventive during the onslaught of the pandemic. So producers and artists went digital—keeping the spirit of festivals alive while we wait for the world to tide over. In the Philippines, Ant Savvy Creatives and Entertainment Inc. took it upon themselves to spotlight rising genres of Filipino music. Enter: Tugatog Filipino Music Festival.
Tugatog Filipino Music Festival is geared towards showcasing “both rising and prominent artists that define the peak of Filipino music at a given time,” they share in a press release. For their first run of the festival, Ant Savvy noticed that P-pop’s wave-making sound and fanbase spread globally. After all, our P-pop groups continue to reach local and international audiences. Moreover, they’ve proved to the world once again that Filipinos are brimming with unbridled talent. With this, Ant Savvy plans to set the stage for everyone and anyone to enjoy the best of homegrown music. Tugatog Music Festival may start as a digital, immersive experience. But according to Chief Executive Officer Su Matias, the goal for the coming years is to take the festival to the live stage.
So on June 18, 2022, P-pop will take over the Tugatog Filipino Music Festival summit. Alamat, BGYO, Bini, Litz, MNL48, PPop Generation, Press Hit Play, VXON, 1st One and many more will take center stage with electrifying performances. Next to performing their top hits, virtual festival-goers can expect special collaborations between these P-pop groups. These unique stages set the festival apart, giving fans more things to look forward to.
Tickets go on sale starting March 1, 2022. Premier tickets sell at P1,800.00. Meanwhile, VIP tickets, which include special content and a livestream of the show, sell for P2,700.00. All ticket sales and streaming will happen via TicketMelon. In addition, fans can expect a third wave of lineup announcements soon—so there’s a lot more to anticipate.
