The ballots for best Halloween costume are in!
Halloween is a big thing to kids—and a big thing for adults, too. For those of us who love to dress up and make up, the scariest time of the year is the perfect time to get those creative juices going. Every party on that last day of October is themed in something tragic or horrific; every bar is decked out in bloody mannequins and cotton spider webs. So really, it’s no wonder why some people go all out.
But we’ve scoured Instagram and let’s make this clear: Some celebs this year definitely deserve a Best Halloween Costume medal.

We know she’s on every list this year, but this girl (and the team behind her) deserve this. Who knew we’d all actually want to look at Pennywise so much?
Marian Rivera, Zia and Dingdong Dantes
Poison Ivy, The Joker, Riddler
Â
The family that knows how to dress together, slays together. Props to Marian and Dingdong, but Zia’s Joker really takes the cake here. Her painted-on scowl and Health Ledger-esque smirk definitely hit the nail on the head.
Wil Dasovich and Alodia Gosingfiao
The Joker, Harley Quinn
Â
While their costumes weren’t exactly original, their take on the Joker and Harley Quinn still set them apart this Halloween. Sorry, but how many more Margot Robbie’s do we have to see?
MayMay Entrata and Edward Barber
Annabelle and Chucky

The makeup, the hair, the ensemble—you cannot deny these two aced Halloween.

Neil Patrick Harris, David Burtka, Harper and Gideon
Hitchhiking Ghosts
Â
The Burtka-Harris clan brings it every single Halloween and this time was no different. For those that don’t recognize them, they’re the Hitchhiking Ghosts from Disney’s The Haunted Mansion ride.
Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz
Fiona and Shrek
The queen of Halloween has done it again this 2018. Move over, Cameron Diaz; Heidi Klum’s got this.
Harry Styles
Elton John

We’re used to Harry Styles donning out-there looks on stage, but quite literally taking a page out of Elton John’s historic look book was crazy good.
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner
Gomez and Morticia Adams
Â
Adding this here because the height difference between Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner worked for them in the best possible way. Also, the angles on Sophie’s face ??
Kourtney Kardashian
Ariana Grande
That high pony would have been enough for us to recognize who Kourtney Kardashian was dressing as this year, but that pink baby doll dress and thigh high boots brought us back to the time Ari played the Musical Genre Challenge with Jimmy Fallon.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip
The simplicity and punch of dressing up as Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip was, in our humble opinion, a stroke of genius for Chrissy Teigen and John Legend.

It’s going to be another year until it’s socially-acceptable to dress in costume again—but excuse us if we start taking notes already.
