The news about The CW picking up The Powerpuff Girls for their own remake was first dropped in August of last year. Set years after their peak as the tiny superhero trinity, Professor Utonium’s girls are now “disillusioned twenty somethings”—which is a mood—who feel resentment after losing their youth to keeping the peace and saving the world. But as the world needs its heroes again, will they agree to reunite?

The crime-fighting trio will be made up of Dove Cameron as Bubbles, Chloe Bennet as Blossom and Yana Perrault as Buttercup. Meanwhile, Professor Utonium will be played by Scrubs’ Donald Faison and the new villain, the son of Mojo Jojo named Jojo, will be portrayed by Nicholas Podany

This one’s for the Star Wars stans out there. Our favorite jedi-master-and-padawan tandem of Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor are reuniting for the Obi-wan Kenobi series by Disney+. After their stunning performance in the Episode II and Episode III of the Star Wars movie series, everyone had accepted that that was the last. But we’re glad to hear that Hayden will be reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker or Darth Vader in the series along with Ewan, who’ll be returning as the main character.

According to IndieWire, the series will begin 10 years after the happenings of Star Wars Episode III — Revenge of the Sith. They’ll be joined by Marvel alumni Kumail Nanjiani and Uncut Gems’ Benny Safdie. The force is strong with this remake!

Netflix gives us another tease of Trese’s animated adaptation

Last March, we freaked out when we heard that Liza Soberano and Shay Mitchell will be lending their voices to Alexandra Trese. A month later, we finally got another peek into the animated adaptation of the famed graphic novel Trese. In Netflix’s 2021 reel of the upcoming animated series, we see the badass, supernatural crime-fighting detective clutching something with a determined look on her face. Safe to say we can’t wait for Trese to finally drop!

Last year, Matthew Perry tweeted that the FRIENDS reunion everyone’s been waiting for is rescheduled to March 2021. Meanwhile, David Schwimmer confirmed that he’s ready to fly out to Los Angeles to shoot the unscripted special. While we won’t be seeing anything about their lives 10 years after the season finale, a lot of fans are still buzzing in excitement to see them all together again. According to Deadline, the complete main cast are shooting on the OG soundstage at the Warner Bros. Studio in California. If the official post from the official FRIENDS Instagram account is any indication, it seems like it’s true. Talk. About. Nostalgia!
