It’s a bummer that we’re spending our weekends in quarantine. While we’re not sure if taking another leave won’t get you feeling as rested as before, it’s a silver lining that we’ve got some idle days to ourselves, if just to feel our feelings.
Anyway, taking vacations to lands, far, far away might be on hold until further notice, but we've got time on our hands and we're grateful to be at home with the people we love. So, if you’re planning to start or fall deeper down the rabbit hole of all things Korean—music, variety shows and dramas—now's the best time.

Vincenzo
You can say you’ve seen it all before; an ex-mafia member stopping at nothing to hunt for their hidden money. But there’s more than meets the eye in Vincenzo. Beyond the action, sneaking and conniving that come with these kinds of dramas lie tastefully planted comedic sketches and pop culture references. Dare we say it, it's the perfect definition of “dark comedy.”
If you need another reason to watch Vincenzo, is the stunning performance by the main lead, Song Joong Ki. He recently got nominated for Best Actor at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards, one of South Korea's prestigious award shows for TV and film.
Sisyphus: The Myth
Looking to explore more sci-fi stories? Then you should start catching up to Sisyphus: The Myth. Park Shinhye plays Kang Seohae, an elite soldier from a far dystopian future. She travels through time to help engineer Han Taesul save the world while he tries to get to the bottom of his brother’s death. If you enjoyed Park’s performance in The Call, then this is one of her newer works that's worth watching.
Tale of the Nine-Tailed
Need a mix of fantasy and romance to fill the void? Check out Tale of The Nine-Tailed! The story follows the nine-tailed fox spirit Lee Yeon (Lee Dong Wook) as he tries to find the reincarnated love of his life, Aheum. But of course, the world and the supernatural get in the way of their happy ending. Find out if things work out for the two and binge-watch Tale of the Nine-Tailed for the remainder of your long weekend.

Men On A Mission
Not into serious K-dramas? Maybe you should give variety shows a shot. Men On A Mission or as the international K-fans know it, Knowing Bros, is a comedy show where Korea’s top celebrities gather. They play games, do weird interviews and everything in between. Kinda reminiscent of your high school classrooms, right? At the helm are the industry’s favorite hosts, Super Junior’s Heechul and long-time host Kang Hodong.

What happens when you mix sleuthing with slapstick comedy? You get Busted. A roster of Korean entertainers aim to solve crimes like actual detectives. In true sleuthing fashion, sometimes they have to worm themselves out of unfortunate situations to solve the grand mystery. See another side of Park Minyoung of What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim and EXO’s Sehun!
Samjin Company English Class
Imagine juggling a job, a language proficiency exam and exposing your sketchy employer all at once? The women in Samjin Company English Class are living that reality. In this social commentary film, a trio of undervalued employees are trying to uncover their company’s illegal businesses. Here, they show us that all you need to knock the house down is a strong and solid support system.
Samjin Company English Class also bagged three nominations in the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards: Best Film, Best Actress for Go Ah-Sung, and Best Supporting Actress for Esom. If anything, this just proves that the film is definitely worth watching over the weekend.
