This month, Netflix has a thrilling line-up of new releases! If you’ve been desperately searching for something new to watch for Halloween this year, you will not be disappointed with what’s in store. Spook-tober is always a good excuse to binge-watch flicks and get your heart racing (without having to move from your seat).

 

 

“Luckiest Girl Alive” (October 7)

Starring: Mila Kunis, Connie Britton and Finn Wittrock

 

 

Coming out on October 7, Luckiest Girl Alive revolves around a writer and her perfect life in New York City. However, things start to unravel when a true-crime documentary forces her to confront her harrowing high school history. This mystery drama film starring Mila Kunis will leave you wondering about the secrets that have been kept in the dark.

 

“Glitch” (October 7)

Starring: Jeon Yeo-been and Nana

 

 

This South Korean TV series centers around a young woman who joins forces with a UFO enthusiast. Together, they investigate her boyfriend’s sudden disappearance, and they stumble upon a wild conspiracy. Needless to say, this series is perfect for keeping you at the edge of your seat.

 

“The School for Good and Evil” (October 19)

Starring: Sofia Wylie, Sophia Anne Caruso, Charlize Theron, Kerry Washington and Laurence Fishburne

 

 

The School for Good and Evil is a film about two best friends—Sophie and Agatha. The two find their bond put to the test when they are whisked away to a magical school for future fairy tale heroes and villains. If you’re a fan of all-things fantasy, this film will take you into a world of enchantments, good and evil.

 

“Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities” (October 25)

Starring: Ben Barnes, Andrew Lincoln and Rupert Grint

 

 

This series comes at the perfect time this Halloween season. Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities shows the unfolding of bizarre nightmares through eight tales of terror. It is a visually stunning, spine-tingling horror collection curated by the master of horror himself, Guillermo del Toro.

 

“The Good Nurse” (October 26)

Starring: Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne

 

 

The Good Nurse is a gripping thriller film based on true events. The film’s main character, Amy, is a compassionate nurse and single mother struggling with a life-threatening heart condition. She is pushed and stretched to her limits as she works demanding hours on the night shift at the ICU. However, things start looking up when Charlie, a thoughtful fellow nurse, starts working at her unit. As they share long nights at the hospital, the two develop a strong friendship. But a series of mysterious patient deaths set off an investigation, and the evidence points to Charlie as the prime suspect. To uncover the truth, Amy is forced to risk her life and the safety of her children.

 

“Wendell & Wild” (October 28)

Starring: Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele

 

 

Coming to Netflix on October 28, Wendell & Wild is a stop-motion horror comedy film starring Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. This animated adventure focuses on two demon brothers who escape the Underworld.
