Local podcasts for your consideration
Podcasts are the new medium for storytelling, because they allow room for more substance to flow, especially for the ones who love to talk. Plus, they’re best for the times we’re looking to keep ourselves company without the pressure of having to carry a conversation. And much like our comfort TV shows and favorite singers, we also have our go-to podcasts and favorite episodes.
But there are some days where we’d like to hear a fresh, new perspective or different voices. Perhaps for the first-timers, you’re still figuring out a podcast that resonates with you. Luckily, 2021 brought in a lot of new ones worth checking out. So scroll along for more new local podcasts to listen to.
The Karen Davila Podcast
The multi-awarded journalist sits down with famous personalities to bring you honest and meaningful conversations about life, lessons and everything in between. Karen gets down to the rawest of topics, such as a retrospective on John Lloyd Cruz’s hiatus and career, as well as Bo Sanchez’s story about his faith and surviving COVID-19. Trust me when I say that we’ll be meeting these people in a different light after pressing play. A new episode premieres every Thursday.

He’ll be putting his insane skill set he built from being a musician, music fan, radio host and DJ geek out and do a deep dive on his favorite songs, artists and all things music at Foaming at the Mouth. This podcast utilizes Spotify’s Music + Talk feature, letting podcast hosts insert songs between talk points. So you might find your new favorite track and new favorite podcast here.
