SYQL Productions’ Fool Moon brings the best of the local art and music scene in one magical festival
Growing up, April Fools felt like an odd holiday—celebrated and avoided due to coincidental misfortunes from this so-called holiday built on jokes. But this year, SYQL Productions is urging us to get out, embrace our whimsical selves and soak up the moonlight this Saturday, April 1, at Fool Moon. Happening at 123 Block, Mandala Park, the music and arts festival brings together the best of the best from each scene, coming from the high of the previously-held NYNS.
Thinking about what’s happening that evening? Dress in your best renaissance and tarot-inspired looks and bask in the April foolery with the following names:

Groove to the music
You know how major this evening will be from the lineup alone–with Blaster and The Celestial Klowns bringing the cosmic disco wonderland to the stage. Not to mention the hype that comes with seeing Flu, of Mercury and Cheats IRL thanks to their immeasurable energy. Fresh from SXSW, ena mori will also bring her amazing music to Fool Moon, along with One Click Straight, (formerly Maryknoll) and Elev8 Me L8r’s Hazylazy.
Embrace art
Apart from enjoying the evening with your favorite brands, a couple of artists will also be selling merchandise. Get your hands on creations by HARA, Gianne Encarnacion, Mako Micro-Press, Albert Raqueño, Mariane Hukom and Patt. Plus, Michael Perfecto teams up with Gianne Encarnacion for a portrait booth, where all the fools in attendance get to have their photos—with professional lighting and direction—by the photographer.
