Top 3 Taylor Swift Albums We’re Playing on Repeat Before “Midnights” Drops

Taylor Swift is back with a new album, and we’re binge-listening her best works

By now, you’ve probably heard that Taylor Swift, the vinyl queen of the world, is dropping another album. Thank you, music gods!

In her Instagram post announcing the new album, she writes: “Midnights, the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life, will be out October 21. Meet me at midnight.” Get out your pint of ice cream, and prepare for a cryfest!

Miss Taylor describes the album as “a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams.” So we're predicting that Midnights is for those who stay up to reminisce about everything they’ve loved and lost. Safe to say, we’re ready to bawl, scream and hibernate in our rooms for a day or two. Mark your calendars, Swifties!

Before the new drop takes over our Spotify playlists, we’re binge-listening our favorite TS albums. Surely, we have to remember our roots before entering our Midnights era.

Red (Taylor’s Version)

This album makes us feel every single emotion there is—happy, free, confused and lonely, all at the same time. Red (Taylor’s Version) is, without a doubt, our favorite album to dance and sing along to. Her songs from the vault (not to mention that 10-minute version of All Too Well) are just what we need after all these years, since the original 2012 album was released. Both miserable and magical, Red (Taylor’s Version) is just straight up bangers.

Evermore

Evermore’s vibrant storytelling makes everything come alive in our heads. If we didn’t know better, we’d think Taylor was singing to us. Through this album, we get to live a million different lives. You can just tell that Queen Taylor gave us everything she could in each song, meticulously written and handpicked. When the lyrics hit and the meaning behind her words sinks in, you feel it in the pit of your stomach. And with the brilliant minds of other featured artists in Evermore (such as Haim and Bon Iver), you just know Taylor Swift planned for a masterpiece.

Lover

We love love, and we most especially love Taylor when she’s in love! A stark contrast to its preceding album, Reputation, the character development is crazy evident. Lover is Swift’s romantic, butterflies-in-your-stomach era, and we can’t help but meet her right where she is. Here, she shows us just how beautiful loving the right person is—you’d think it’s burning red, but it’s really golden.

While these are our top three albums, we have to give a special mention to Folklore–the no-skip album of our dreams!
