What's New?

ArtFairPH/Open Studios highlights a series of workshops with iconic artists from the community. Paco Guerrero, Neil Oshima and Mark Nicdao will be teaching photography; meanwhile, Benji Reyes will hold a wooden furniture workshop. There will also be a demo on watercolor painting techniques with Claude Tayag, a cyanotype workshop with Alexis Oshima and Angela Silva, a rubber cutting workshop with Association of Pinoyprintmakers and a Sculptural Planter-Making workshop with Rita Gudiño of Tahanan Pottery.

There's much to survey at the ArtFairPH/Photo, ArtFairPH/Film and Art FairPH/Incubators sections. Notably, for creative spaces outside the mainstream gallery format, art/n23 will present a virtual reality piece by Isay Rodriguez. For film junkies, a selection of feature-length and short films—to showcase the diversity of Philippine cinema—is available for viewing. In addition, spotlight's on contemporary artist Poklong Anading for his work in photography.

Other prominent exhibitors include Salvador Joel Alonday, Perry Argel, Jaime De Guzman, Roedil Joe Geraldo, Jellyfish Kisses, Gene Paul Martin and Neil Pasilan. Carlo Villafuerte, the 2020 recipient of the Karen H. Montinola Selection, will also be exhibiting his work. Art Fair Philippines is also working with New York-based curator and art historian Carina Evangelista in presenting the works of Sol Lewitt, a prominent American artist known for his contributions in Conceptual Art and Minimalism.

10 Days of Art

To complement the fair is the 10 Days of Art initiative. From February 14 to 23, the best of public art will be showcased in different parts of Makati, which will include an outdoor cinema extravaganza and projections. The full details will be announced soon at 10daysofart.com.
