Granted that the SOGIE Equality Bill remains in limbo 21 years on, it’s become easy to see what’s been getting in the way of such a crucial piece of legislation. A lot about SOGIE still gets lost in translation—misunderstood by some policymakers themselves, no less. Seemingly no-brainer concepts can prove tricky to explain.
