Make Mother Elektra proud
It cannot be helped: time and again, we'll come back to Pose. Nothing else did it quite like this outstanding drama series, which told the stories of Black and Brown members of the LGBTQIA+ in ways we did not see before. Across its three seasons, creators Steve Canals, Brad Falchuk, and Ryan Murphy were able to capture and chronicle the golden age of New York’s ballroom scene and its overlap with the AIDS crisis of the ‘80s and ‘90s. The series concluded with a powerful finale in June that won’t be forgotten anytime soon.
Though parting with Pose truly was such sweet sorrow (and we could only hope another series picks up the torch and soon), it’s nice to know we can revisit it on Netflix now that all seasons are available to stream.
