Say goodbye to hoarding abroad; your fave K-Beauty essentials are now within reach
It’s not every day that you get invited to events that sound as wildly exciting as a K-Beauty Carnival.
The invitation was heaven-sent. I could swear I heard choirs of angels singing in the background when the e-vite arrived in our inbox and a whole operatic production with an all-cherub cast bellowing when I arrived at the event. I was ecstatic and it wasn’t because of the free-flowing soju.
Beauty Bar has upped their game, stocking some of K-Beauty’s finest brands: Neogen, Dear, Klairs, CosRX and Yadah. As you could probably tell, we are downright thrilled that this is happening (it’s about time, honestly!) and it’s because each of these brands houses at least a single product that owns a hard-earned spot in our beauty routines. Either that or we’ve fallen in love with at first try.
Up ahead, we introduce you to some of our favorites. Consider it the visual/verbal equivalent of a greatest hits compilation, only we’re talking beauty instead of music––although we’re still singing well-deserved praises.
The product we love: Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Wine
Why we love it: It smoothens, it tightens and it comes in a form we’ve never seen from an exfoliating product before. Neogen, as a brand, prides itself in innovation in the beauty realm and its Bio-Peel Gauze line is testament to this. Pre-soaked, two-sided exfoliating pads make weekly exfoliating a breeze. Oh, and it smells like red wine. Huge bonus.
The product we love: Supple Preparation Facial Toner
Why we love it: Ultra gentle and mildly scented, this toner gets the job done without any drying, stinging or other nasty sensations.
The product we love: You mean besides the acne patches that everyone and their moms rave about? We’re all over the Oil-Free Ultra Moisturizing Lotion, too.
Why we love it: Oily-skinned guys and gals, rejoice! It’s a challenge finding moisturizers that don’t leave you looking like an overly glazed Krispy Kreme donut at the end of the day, but CosRX’s delivers. It’s also armed with birch sap, which became a buzz ingredient right around a year or two ago due to its hydrating and purifying properties.
The product we love: Air Powder Pact
Why we love it: We love a good multi-functional powder, and Yadah is ticking our boxes. The Air Powder Pact is our favorite from their line because it doesn’t only mattify, it blurs. It’s like an IRL healing brush tool. How could we deny ourselves of that? A word of caution, though: like its Be My Cushion product, Yadah’s Air Powder Pact only comes in two shades: light beige and natural beige.
Not gonna lie, we’re pretty tough cookies when it comes to beauty, but these babies have won us over.
