The Ugly Shoe Trend Is Here To Stay Thanks To Crocs

The Ugly Shoe Trend Is Here To Stay Thanks To Crocs

Welcome to Crocs season

Crocs are great for wearing in the kitchen, or so they say, and if you’re a kid. Mine loves his Crocs and he favors them over slippers and sneakers (unless the sneakers light up) whatever the activity, wherever we’re going. But I never imagined I’d pick up a pair (maybe the KISS collection?) myself or style them a la Jisoo back in December.

How do you wear them? I’m not sure how to feel about the holes. Why do they need charms? Or extra platforms? Balenciaga couldn’t convince me then and they can’t convince me now, but the fashion girls (and guys on Instagram) that styled it right did and they actually look…good. Who knew they could be worn with coats and blazers??? Or a great skirt!!!

I was finally convinced to try them on and just in time for Crocs season’s latest release: the Classic Translucent Clog. This fresh take features a see-through upper and is best worn with socks. Choose from four colors, including black, white, digital aqua and candy pink. Add some Translucent Jibbitz charms—daisy, rainbow, peach, pineapple, and strawberry—if you’re feeling cute or extra fun.

Cool, comfy, and easy to clean, Crocs might just be one of our favorite polarizing trends in quarantine.
