Face of the Philippines Cycle 6: The Grand Finale of the Modeling Competition Happens at PMFF5

Which models will fly to Seoul and represent the Philippines in the Asia New Star Model Contest?

With 11 seasons, five years under its belt and over 50 designers since its debut, Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival has steered the industry in a new direction and taken it to new heights. But beyond presenting up-and-coming designers, the festival has shown tremendous support for another type of homegrown talent: aspiring fashion models.

Through Face of the Philippines, a nationwide hunt for fresh new faces, young men and women are given a chance to pursue a professional career in modeling each year. The competition culminates not only on the runway of Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival but on the international stage at the Asia New Star Model Contest held in Seoul, South Korea. Previous cycles of the competition have catapulted the careers of models such as Mariah Jowett, Kath Asuncion, Julia Velasquez and Rizza Decena, who have gone on to participate in various other fashion shows, appear in commercials and work with some of the country’s most celebrated brands.\

With the support of Panasonic Beauty, Maquillage Professionnel, Privé Revaux, World Balance, Faith and Fearless, SIP Water and Creations by Lourd Ramos, Face of the Philippines kicked off its sixth cycle by welcoming over 50 auditionees. Only 19 model hopefuls, however, advanced to the finals, where they had to undergo rigorous training and take on modeling challenges in the lead-up to the grand finale. The fate of six lucky winners will be decided on Day 3 of the PMFF’s fifth-anniversary showcase.

Who will #OwnTheLook this year? Find out on October 17 where the grand finale will be broadcast live on the Face of the Philippines’ YouTube channel. For more information and news about the upcoming cycle, visit faceofthephilippines.com and follow Face of the Philippines on Instagram and Facebook.
