All eyes on the resident ’04 girl

“Timeless” is one of the words that best describes the concept that Gucci is well-known for. The Italian fashion house often lets the double “G” do the talking, but we can’t ignore the hushed praises whenever its seen on the streets. Gucci has power over vibrant prints that have caught our attention through the decades—and is maintained with the help of their promising international brand ambassadors.

From Britain’s heartthrob Harry Styles to South Korea’s first love IU, Gucci has associated its branding with artists who stand out for their unique styles. Now, we await Vietnamese-Australian artist Hanni to show us what it means to be the newest brand ambassador of Gucci.

Hanni completes the five-member girl group NewJeans, which has been taking the Korean Wave (AKA Hallyu) by storm since their debut in July with their catchy title track, Attention. The group went viral for the success of their first EP, but the 18-year-old Hanni has experienced her own success due to her individual taste. While Hanni’s vocal range is a given, viewers continue to gush over her fulfillment of the group’s Y2K concept onstage and in photoshoots. It’s safe to say that we had already foreseen the rookie’s presence in the fashion world from the start!

Heads turn towards Hanni’s youthful take on the trends that date back to the early 2000s. Colorful hair clips have been a staple for her, whether in pigtails or freely flowing with her signature full bangs. She doesn’t miss out on the iconic denim-on-denim ‘fit and even dances around in a low waisted pair of sweats, with a matching bright cropped sleeveless top.

As far as Hanni’s stage outfits can give us, there’s so much more to look forward to regarding her personal taste. We can’t wait to witness her growth in the fashion world, together with her group members Minji, Danielle, Haerin and Haein.
