Actress Marian Rivera is now part of the KIKO Milano family. The leading Italian cosmetics brand welcomes the Kapuso Primetime Queen as the first-ever ambassador of the Philippines. “Nung pumasok ako in showbiz way, way back, okay na’ko sa mga lip tint, pero nung nag-artista ako, part of the job talaga. Nag-invest talaga ako, na kailangan talaga maganda ‘yung quality ng makeup (When I entered showbiz way, way back, I was okay with just using lip tint, but when I became an actress, I realized it’s part of the job. I invested in it, since you really need good quality makeup),” she tells the press in the exclusive launch at KIKO Milano’s flagship store in Mall of Asia.
Even makeup artists she regularly works with, from the likes of Bambi Fuentes to Juan Sarte, are avid users of the brand. On how she’s learned how to love makeup through the years, she credits her glam team who are very generous with tips. She shares, “Mahilig talaga ako, eh. Nung nag-artista [ako], pinag-aralan ko siya and nag-o-observe ako. From there, ‘pag hindi ko alam, nagpapaturo ako (I’m really a fan [of makeup]. When I became an actress, I studied it and observed. From there, when I don’t know how how [to do something], I ask for help).”

On what she feels when wearing makeup, Marian tells Wonder, “Siguro, more on, mas may kumpyansa ka sa sarili mo. Tapos may extra points to make you feel good (Maybe, more on, you have the confidence. Then you have extra points to make you feel good)!”
And for her daughter Zia, she hopes to impart a lesson on beauty—that makeup is not a tool to “cover” your imperfections, but a medium to enhance your beauty.
If she can choose one makeup product to have if she was in a deserted island, she would choose a blush. She tells us, “Gusto ko sana ‘yung Unlimited Blush, para kahit mawala ako, blooming pa rin ako (I would really like the Unlimited Blush, so that even if I get lost, I’m still blooming).”
Depending on the mood and event, she truly loves the Unlimited Blush, especially an everyday color like Mauve for a pinkish glow. And she’s a big fan of the 3D Hydra Lipgloss in the shade Cream Cashmere, a classic color that can easily pass for daytime and nighttime.
