Maymay Entrata's rise to stardom feels more like a fairytale. TBH, her rags-to-riches story is something even Cinderella might feel jealous of. The 25-year-old star and Pinoy Big Brother Season 7: Teen Edition winner may have gone through multiple career heights, but it's her latest feat that catapulted her onto the global stage.
Though she originally dipped into acting after her big PBB win, Maymay has shifted her career to becoming a pop sensation with her music releases. The single AMAKABOGERA is a certified hit, and if you’ve been on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube long enough, you know that it’s also a viral bop that’s been used for all kinds of content. Because of its virality (and Maymay’s musical prowess), it's even earned her a nod at the MTV EMAs!

The only Filipino nominee among other international acts like popular K-pop group TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Indonesia’s NIKI and Japan’s long-standing boy group THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE, Maymay’s nomination for Best Asia Act has many proudly supporting the artist. “A huge thank you to MTV EMAs for recognizing my song and giving me the privilege to be with the other amazing artists nominated in this category,” she writes on her socials.

After winning PBB, we saw Maymay dress up all ladylike and lovely for that leading lady status. Being part of a love team then, this was an understandable style choice to amp up the romance between her and her then-other half, Edward Barber. So Maymay focused on floral prints and A-line dresses that cinched her at the waist to create that girly-girl silhouette.

Her first-ever Star Magic Ball back in 2017 introduced Maymay to a more fashionable crowd as she topped best-dressed lists with her Mark Bumgarner ball gown.
