How We’re Wearing the New Balance x 0917 Lifestyle Collab Sneaker

It goes with pretty much everything in our closets

In fashion, certain terms get thrown around without much regard. We hear phrases like “cult favorite” and “reinvented” so often that we can’t help but question if they really hold any ground anymore. Oh and don’t even get us started on “elevated classic.” It’s been a while since we’ve seen an actual classic piece modernized and upgraded. Or at least that’s what we thought until the latest sneaker collab set off a blip in our radars last week.

Enter: the remastered NB 574 sneaker. A collaboration between New Balance and apparel brand, 0917 Lifestyle, this shoe takes the classic silhouette of the 574 sneaks and revamps it with a pair of exclusive 0917 shoelaces. Simple, understated, but an elevated classic through and through, these are the kind of go-anywhere, wear-with-anything shoes we like having in our shoe closets.

In fact, we’ve already planned out a number of ways to wear this fresh new collab shoe––with some of this season’s most prominent trends, no less.

Who doesn’t love an monochromatic ensemble? With just as much as potential as the little black dress, a white-on-white fit has the potential to take you from busy morning to bustling night out, from office-ready to street-savvy. Complete the look with an ever-so-subtle pop of color with the dusky blues and grays of the 0917 Lifestyle NB 574’s in Rain Cloud.

Gone Graphic

On the opposite side of the style spectrum, we can’t wait to sport our 574’s with good ol’ graphic prints. Designed to overwhelm, logomania or piled-on prints are bound to turn heads. Balance out the look with minimalistic NB 574’s.

Back to the Future

Another look we can’t wait to sport? All futuristic everything, except this time we’re swapping in the space boots for sporty sneakers. Dare to dive right into the trend with wet-look metallics, holographic finishes and paillettes all over.
