Vans returns with another iconic Japanese anime collab
Vans returns with a hot-new collaboration with another iconic Japanese anime series: One Piece! The collection, inspired by great friendship, features footwear and apparel that will surely excite fans.
Vans x One Piece follows the the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew as they find the One Piece. The the actual hero piece? Vans’ classic Sk8-Hi Punk Hazard featuring a 360-degree graphic that wraps from the lateral side of the shoe, representing the fire side of the island, to the medial side representing the frozen side. Meanwhile, the Straw Hat Crew dresses up the iconic Vans checkerboard patterns. Another key piece is the Vans Classic Old Skool featuring the infamous devil fruits that give powers to our beloved characters but make them incapable of swimming. Then there’s the Vans Classic Authentic, which takes inspiration from the heritage Americana nautical style. It features a jute fabric upper and is embroidered with iconic One Piece symbols that nod to the Straw Hat Cap.
One Piece is also present on the Vans Skate Classics with the iconic Wanted posters of Cat Burglar Nami on the Skate Sk8-Hi in orange and the Demon Child Nico Robin in purple on the Skate Old Skool. Both styles feature the One Piece logo around the outsole.
But there’s more; Japanese artist Cookie! teamed up with VANS to create a collection that pays tribute to both the brand’s Off the Wall spirit and One Piece. The special release of Cookie! is made up of hoodies and T-shirts featuring One Piece’s all-time favorite character Chopper.
