What to Expect at the 5th Anniversary of Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival

11 seasons in and the fashion franchise is still full of surprises

The biggest fashion event in Southeast Asia is back for its fifth year and better than ever. Known for discovering fresh design talent and catapulting modeling careers, Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival continues its mission to celebrate fashion, design and life itself this month with a slew of exciting shows and programs from October 15 to 18. Scroll through for a rundown of what to expect!

Face of the Philippines Cycle 6

On the third day of Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival, the top 19 finalists of the new Face of the Philippines will battle it out on the runway. Having undergone extreme makeovers and exhilarating photoshoots just to make it to this point as their competition whittled away, only six of the top 19 can #OwnTheLook and join the Asia Model Festival in South Korea—a regional modeling competition where Team Philippines proudly bagged a handful of awards back in 2017. The competition will be broadcast live on the Face of the Philippines YouTube channel with the ceaseless help and support of Panasonic Beauty, Maquillage Professionnel, Privé Revaux, World Balance, Faith and Fearless, SIP Water and Creations by Lourd Ramos.

Panasonic Beauty Lifestyle Talks

Beauty enthusiasts, rejoice! Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival has prepared a segment for discussing all things beauty. From hairstyling to makeup application, fashion photography to entrepreneurship, the Panasonic Beauty Lifestyle Talks will cover a wide array of subjects. An exciting blend of workshops, conferences, masterclasses and networking opportunities awaits.

Special Runway Shows

In partnership with SoFA Design Institute, the fashion festival looks forward to featuring six new designers graduating at the top of their class. Also starting just this year, the closing show is slated to belong to a specific featured designer. Long Davalos sits in the spotlight for this Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival finale with a 40-piece collection featuring sustainable textiles from PTRI in partnership with San Miguel Light to be sent down the runway.

Thrilling Collaborations and Partnerships

Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival would not be possible without their impressive arsenal of partners and sponsors: Maquillage Professionel for make-up, Figaro Design & Regoris of Japan for hair, Privé Revaux for eyewear and Faith & Fearless for bags. None of the shows would be possible without CHG Global, Inc, World Balance, East Rock, Easy Soft, San Miguel Light, Yellow Tail, SIP Water, Shea Mira, Zeal Cosmetics, One Globe Limited and XDE Logistics. The biggest partnership of all is that with Panasonic—including Panasonic Beauty and Lumix. They’re to thank for keeping this revolutionary fashion event and its spirit of creativity and beauty alive.
