Culminating Sunnies Studios’ dedication to good design and beauty in everyday things

We all have fond memories of Sunnies Studios, the homegrown brand that changed our relationship with eyewear. Every it girl and their mama had their own pair. I remember purchasing my first pair of cat eye sunglasses encased in a pastel green case from the brand; it made me feel like a million bucks. For my 25th birthday, I got a pair of yellow-tinted sunnies and incorporated them into my ensemble—an emerald green silk dress and classic black kitten heels. (I’m not entirely sure if I can pull that off now, but it was clearly a great idea then.)

At Sunnies, there’s always room to play! Sunnies Studios introduces the Fun House at Glorietta. The flagship store gets a makeover inspired by architectural structures and paper cutouts

Before the Filipino brand’s ascent to global fame—and the birth of a beloved (and Allure-approved!) makeup brand—they had a flagship store in Glorietta, which barely fit 10 customers. To celebrate a decade of Sunnies Studios, the space finally gets a makeover inspired by architectural structures and paper cutouts. Introducing: the Sunnies Fun House. And get this, it’s their biggest store yet!

Sunnies Coffee (formerly Cup Point) is now available at the Sunnies Studios Flagship Store! The Honey Latte is definitely my go-to

Created in 2013 by Bea Soriano-Dee, Eric Dee, Georgina Wilson and Martine Ho, Sunnies Studios started with sunglasses, then expanded to optical, and eventually grew into a one-stop shop for all things eyewear. In 2022, they were even named the #1 Sunglasses Brand in the Philippines based on the Euromonitor International 2022 report.

Eric shares, “Our story lies within the lines and curves of the Glorietta store. It had a lot of firsts and grew as the brand grew, slowly expanding through the years as spaces surrounding it opened one by one. It was the perfect homecoming 10 years in the making.”

The Sunnies Fun House is designed to activate people’s innate curiosity, creativity and sense of humor. It even showcases custom mirrors designed by Filipino Australian artist Jessica Dorizac, whose work is informed by history, decoration and architecture in the Philippines. All corners of the well-curated space are photo-worthy, too! You can even grab a cup of coffee to go from Sunnies Coffee (formerly Cup Point). The Honey Latte is definitely my go-to order!
