After Paris, Milan and London Fashion Weeks, another one set online kicks off this week. Decentraland, the popular NFT and metaverse hosting space, opens the first-ever Metaverse Fashion Week from March 24 to 27. The affair will consist of runway shows, after-parties, shopping, panel talks and more. In addition, popular British department store chain Selfridges teams up with Paco Rabanne and Fondation Vasarely for their first-ever shop on the metaverse.Â
Over 50 brands are expected to debut virtual collections for #MVFW22, further exploring the overlap between fashion and the digital world.

Gucci Enters the Metaverse with Vault
Creative director Alessandro Michele builds a universe of continuous evolution in the Metaverse.

Luxury brand Gucci, headed by Alessandro Michele, heads to the metaverse with Vault. Vault exists as a space for experimentation while drawing inspiration from concept stores. Vault’s shelves contain vintage Gucci staples and new designs by handpicked designers. In addition, many can expect exclusive capsule collections and curated selections to appear in this virtual space.
The first one to create a limited-edition collection for Vault is Belgian brand Maison Delvaux with eight unique mini-handbags inspired by the space’s palette.

The brand invites you to Do Your Thing.
DKNY kicks off spring/summer 2022 with the evolution of their “DO YOUR THING” campaign. It begins with “DO YOUR THING FOR LOVE,” which stars real-life couples, model Ebonee Davis & rapper Smino, and designer Lindsay Vrckovnik & model Tyler Blue Golden showing what they do for love and how they explore meaningful connections in modern times. This month, “DO YOUR THING FOR FUN” spotlights comedian Carly Aquilino and how she embraces humor in the daily grind. The Brand values family, too, so “DO YOUR THING FOR FAMILY” headlines April featuring self-made twin DJS, Coco & Breezy, along with their mom Dianna.
