It’s no secret that Dolly De Leon always eats and leaves no crumbs whenever she steps on the red carpet. But award win or no win, she still knows how to show up as she continues to represent the country—the BAFTAs included. So, while the award show gained more attention thanks to Ariana DeBose’s polarizing performance, we still want to highlight Dolly De Leon’s afterparty look. Here, two unique Filipino talents come together on the international stage.

The actress, styled by LJ Perez, repped Filipino designer Jude Macasinag with the made-to-measure ensemble with the highlight piece called the “Artist’s kumot (blanket).” “The kumot-coat is an abstraction drawn from the iconic Sparrow blanket,” writes Macasinag on Instagram. “A nod to our shared Filipino heritage.”

The coat also has “Para kay Dolly (for Dolly)” and the artist’s signature stitched in the inner lining, making it another landmark and heart-warming moment in Philippine fashion.

Jimmy Choo celebrates 30 years of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon with a collection

This marks another rare collection between the titular manga and luxury brand

For the 30th anniversary of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, Jimmy Choo’s creative director Sandra Choi teamed up with the manga to deliver a capsule collection. The phrase “healing your inner child” has never been so valid until now. Cop shoes and bags in each of the Sailor’s identifiable colors, along with their mentor cat, Luna. This drop comes in great timing as we roll into Women’s Month, with the collection standing as a product by two exceptional women creatives. Femininity and female power stand at the center of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, with its energy and movement immortalized in Jimmy Choo's pieces.

“This collaboration underscores our shared values not just of female empowerment but for fashion’s ability to inspire inclusivity and individuality through personality and self-belief,” shares Sandra Choi in a press release. “The notion of transformation via fashion is central to Naoko Takeuchi, and clothes play a vital role in the identity of her superheroines, especially their shoes, the most powerful transformer you can step into.” After all, the ladies of Sailor Moon have always had amazing outfits often recreated, and the transformation into their superpowered counterparts always remains part of the heroic process.

Author Naoko Takeuchi also echoes this sentiment: “What has always been truly important to me is the youthful, pure imagination and power of the young girls. I believe that the Jimmy Choo brand also has these qualities.”

The Jimmy Choo x Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon collection will be released globally with exclusive partners. For eager ones who want to get their hands on these pieces, the nearest drop is at the Harbour City Flagship store in Hong Kong.
