Michael Leyva borrows inspiration from the sea and sky
At 28, Michael Leyva has already made a name for himself, designing and creating dreamlike gowns and dresses. From bridalwear straight out of fairytales to the now world-famous yellow gown Kris Aquino wore to the Crazy Rich Asians premiere, Michael continues to create pieces that are opulent but understated, modern but timeless.

For his Ready-to-Wear collection at stylefestph, the FEI (Fashion Exchange International) designer takes inspiration from the sea and sky. Ruffles, tiers, hints of skin and abstract-printed pieces here and there were prominent details. Pair it with a colorway of pure white, bright blue and glistening silver, we're whisked away to a place of magic: right by the sea, underneath clear, blue skies (yes, with a drink in hand). And the music that accompanied the show? Feel-good.
