Get Your Nails Done By Elinails, Nail Artist to the Stars

Read Time: 2 minutes

Elinails finally has a website, and our nails couldn’t be happier

While manicures in 2020 B.C. (before coronavirus) were all about hitting up salons and letting the pros do the work, the pandemic has given way to a new normal in nail care. Touch has become atypical, meaning we literally have to take our manicures into our own hands. All factors considered, there’s no better time for press-on nails to be back in the limelight.

Artificial nails have long been a symbol of beauty and luxury. Take a trip down China’s history and you’ll find that nail extensions were considered a status symbol between the 1300s to the 1600s. Ming Dynasty women painted their nails red and black, and royals sported bejewelled nail protectors to separate themselves from the working class. Artificial nails were also considered a standard of beauty in Egypt in the 30th century B.C. and across Europe in the 1900s.

Fast forward to the present, press-ons are having a moment yet again. From Cardi B to BLACKPINK, everybody is sporting frosted, jewel-encrusted tips. And now, the rest of the world wants in. Thankfully, a few local nail artists are making the aspiration accessible. One such artist is Elinails, who rose to prominence on Instagram.

Elinails has been on my Instagram radar for some time. I’ve been a follower since the early days of the pandemic, when her designs were simpler and her clientele was relatively celeb-free.

Since then, her following and clientele has grown dramatically—but more importantly, so have her ambition and designs. Today, Elinails’ clients include Nadine Lustre, GIBBS and Kakie Pangilinan. It’s hard to pinpoint favorites when an artist continues to outdo herself, but I give my best to pick out some of Elinails’ most memorable designs below.

Just this month, Elinails finally opened up a website to cater to our press-on nail needs. From classic french tips to quirky, gram-worthy nail art, she introduced a total of 22 designs for her first drop. There are a few pre-made sets up for grabs, but the rest of the sets may be customized according to your desired length, shape and nail size.

See some of the sets from her first drop below.
