On September 22, 2023, vivo unveiled their latest offer, the vivo v29 series 5G, which brings smartphone photography to the next level—just in time for the holidays.
The event took place at Okada Manila, where the leading smartphone manufacturer announced a slew of plans.
vivo: an official partner of the NBA
The first thing on the agenda was a special announcement: vivo is now an official partner of the NBA. With a guest appearance from Dominique Wilkins (an NBA Hall of Famer known as the Human Highlight Film), the partnership promises exclusive content coming our way.

Anne Curtis is the latest vivo brand ambassador
While teasing the features of the vivo V29 series 5G, the company also announced their latest ambassador: Anne Curtis. While the entire event was streaming live on vivo’s Facebook channel, those on ground were invited to take part in a group selfie using the latest offering from vivo.

And with its extended lens, the entire Okada Grand Ballroom was on full display.
And the main event
The main event of the evening, of course, was the vivo V29 series 5G.
The vivo V29 5G touts a 120Hz 1.5K AMOLED display and a 6.78-inch full high definition screen, packaged in a 3D curved design. As the clearest display in the history of the V series, the V29 supports 1.07 billion colors, exceptionally displayed with a pixel density of 452 PPI.
But one thing that sticks out with the vivo V29 5G is its Aura Light 2.0 feature, which is a further improvement from the lighting system that first debuted in the vivo V27 5G. The Aura Light 2.0 automatically adjusts the unit’s color temperature to ensure the best quality photos, no matter what the surroundings are. Say goodbye to low light photos that are too dark to joyfully reminisce; say hello to natural-looking photos taken from wherever, whenever!
Moreover, vivo has made sure to keep eye protection at the forefront, with both the hardware and software of the vivo V29 5G sporting reduced blue light and screen flickering to ensure the user’s safety.

The vivo V29 5G is available in Milky Way and Starry Purple colorways. The 12GB+256GB variant is priced at P24,999, while the 12GB+512GB option is priced at P26,999.
