This win was a long time coming

ICYMI, Michelle Dee is no newbie to the pageant stage as she represented the Philippines in England for Miss World 2019 and finished in the Top 12! She underwent surgery weeks before the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Coronation

As if the exhaustion of preparing endlessly for pageant season wasn’t enough, Michelle Dee had to go through emergency surgery for a hemorrhage a few weeks before coronation night (and on her birthday for that matter)! As she spent a couple of days recovering in the hospital, she reassured everyone via Twitter that she was well and appreciated all the love from friends, family and fans. She is truly the epitome of strength!

She has a BS Psychology Degree from De La Salle University

A perfect balance between beauty and brains is fitting for a queen, and Michelle knows a thing or two about that. As a Bachelor of Science – Psychology graduate of De La Salle University, she’s got the brains to outwit any question that the judges throw her way!

She advocates for autistic children

Michelle has always stood for noble causes, which helped her win the title of Goodwill Ambassador at Miss World Philippines 2019. She mainly advocates for autistic children as she herself is a loving sister to two siblings on the autism spectrum. With the goal to raise awareness and educate the masses on autistic children’s needs and their conditions, Michelle warms all of our hearts and has made a huge impact on autistic children's awareness both locally and globally!
