New sneaker packs, capsule collections and the latest collabs
This might just be the year we reach peak sneaker-obsessed. Only three months in, 2018 is already chock-full of hyped-up collections, pop culture tributes and news on some seriously stunning footwear. Adidas and Nike are neck and neck in this arena, sending the internet into a frenzy with highly anticipated collaborations: KITH and OFF-WHITE are just the tip of the iceberg; the two are due to drop very soon.
At this rate, we’re well past wearing out a single pair of sneakers before springing for a new one. (Function over fashion? Huh, what’s that again?) The billion-dollar industry serves everyone from practical shoppers, collectors, hunters of limited-edition items and those who dream of one day building their own fitness closet like Khloe Kardashian. To each his own, really. And if you can’t cop it and rock it, who says you can’t indulge in a little sneaker eye candy?

“Ooh pretty” often comes with a hefty price tag, but for the enthusiast, sneakers are always worth the splurge.
