As a Wonder gal or guy, I’m sure you’ve noticed the girly girl aesthetic, AKA girlhood, have its moment on the runways, across the internet and on our pages, particularly our monthly covers (served with a side of black, leather and metal). I’m more sure you’ve worn the ubiquitous floral accessory, taking inspiration from Loewe last year and, more recently, the spring collections of Simone Rocha and Vaquera.

The girly girl aesthetic, synonymous with hyper-feminine details like bows, florals and pretty much anything that sparkles, may not be new. But its recent iterations are fresh, playful and reminiscent of our youth (or simpler times). It's also taken on a new meaning for those who take their fashion seriously, where the girly girl is anything but childish and is instead a symbol of reclamation.
