CUL-DE-SAC: The Best of Multi-Brand Concepts Distinqt, Xception & Akimbo

No stranger to the world of multi-brand retail, Noble House Group has added yet another exciting concept store to its roster.

 

Cul-de-sac which, quite literally, means “dead end” in French is anything but this side of Ortigas: The CUL-DE-SAC boutique is the convergence of three already established stores by Noble House, taking unique elements from Distinqt in Shangri-La at the Fort, Akimbo at Uptown Mall in BGC and XCEPTION in Legazpi Village, melding them together at a new address.

Located at the second level of The Podium Mall in Ortigas Center, CUL-DE-SAC is home to premium contemporary labels like MSGM, Versus Versace and Tibi and streetwear brands such as GCDS, Han Kjobenhavn and Opening Ceremony. Décor, design and novelty brands Normann Copenhagen, Vipp, Image Republic, Assouline and Renova, meanwhile, round up the key lifestyle labels at the store.

 

A look around reveals a unique use of the 430-square meter space, looping around in a circular route somewhat like a small-scale running track. With a feel of a futuristic creative think tank, CUL-DE-SAC also features futuristic interiors (the brushed steel facade is hard to miss), interactive installations, Skateroom collaborations with Jean Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol and fun Be@rbrick collectibles on display.

 

 

Introducing all this to the public on May 16 was not the regular store opening either. The event offered up a special preview of the newest MM6 Maison Margiela collection, celebrating the designer’s 25th year as an active benefactor of AIDES, the leading HIV/AIDS organization in France that is committed to fighting for the rights of people with the autoimmune disease.

 

In the same light, CUL-DE-SAC has decided to partner with local non-profit organization Love Yourself Philippines. The non-profit organization dedicated to providing HIV testing and education with receive a sizeable portion of CUL-DE-SAC’s total sales between May 16 and June 16 this year. A limited-edition brooch is available in-store as well with all of the proceeds going to Love Yourself Philippines.

CUL-DE-SAC is located at Level 2 of The Podium Mall, 18 ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong (store hours are from 11AM to 9PM). CUL-DE-SAC is also online via www.cul-de-sac.ph, Instagram and Facebook.
