Wonder Beauty Counter: November is About Brands We’ve Waited Forever For, Nourishing Skincare and Gift-Worthy Beauty

Products that deserve a spot on your beauty counter––or under the Christmas tree

Is it just us, or did Christmas come early this year? With all the product launches and beauty brands setting off blips on our radar since the beginning of November, it sure feels that way. Arguably the busiest time of year, November has brought with it the long-awaited launch of Anastasia Beverly Hills, the official arrival of K-beauty brand So Natural, spanking new finds from Beauty Bar and exciting products from Ever Bilena––all of which we’re filing under reasons to celebrate the holidays early.

Ahead, we spotlight some skincare and makeup favorites that are most definitely securing a space on our personal beauty counters (or a loved one’s, since they also make for pretty kick-ass gift options).

Anastasia Beverly Hills

We’ve all heard of Anastasia Beverly Hills for one reason or another. In my case, it was the brow products––most notably the Dipbrow Pomade that aced one of our test drives––that had me speeding towards the brand’s newly-opened counter at Rustan’s Makati. Thankfully, the brand brought in an entire arsenal of products with it for its local opening: our favorite new skinny legend Brow Wiz, 17 foundation shades and naturally, their best-selling palettes.

Falling into step with the rapidly approaching holidays, we’re setting our sights on Anastasia Beverly Hills’ luxurious line-up. And if we happen to pick a little something up for ourselves, can you really blame us?

Anastasia Beverly Hills is available at Rustan’s Makati.

So Natural

Despite the frills and deep-diving knowledge it takes to navigate the beauty world, for most of us, the goal is pretty simple: to get glowing, healthy skin. So Natural, a South Korean beauty brand, has launched in the country to bring us solutions just as straightforward as our skincare goals. Staying true to their name, So Natural’s products are crafted out of organic resources and made with minimal additives.

Serving up a pretty impressive selection for gifting or beefing up our own beauty shelves, various product lines under the So Natural umbrella target specific beauty concerns. There’s the So’ Natural line, which aims to optimize the skin’s natural abilities with a fusion of beneficial ingredients and advanced technology. The Pure, which is still in the process of being brough into the country, is an all-natural skincare line that focuses on gentle, nature-based ingredients. Meanwhile So Natural’s take on makeup, Powder 4 Room, is the product line that K-beauty aficionados can credit for the best-selling All Day Tight Makeup Setting FIXX Spray.

So Natural is exclusively available in the Philippines via SeoulUnni.

Do-It-All Beauty Balm

In beauty, whether in skincare or cosmetics, a product that can do it all trumps whatever else is on the shelf. And with the holidays in full swing, it’s exactly what our tired, parched skin needs, amirite? Say hello to the do-it-all balm, Dr. Paw Paw. Use it to hydrate hair, skin (especially on areas where it feels extra dry––read: hands, heels and elbows) and lips, or wear it over or under a beauty look. This cruelty-free product can also be used to soften cuticles and add shine to dull nails.

Aside from the classic variants we’ve all come to love, Dr. Paw Paw introduces three new flavors we’re currently smitten with. Warm up skin with Rich Mocha, a classic nude that goes with everything. Looking a little pale? Add a wash of color via Hot Pink or Outrageous Orange. Delivering the same promise but in sheer colors you can wear even after the holidays, this might just be the balm for all you skin and gifting woes.

Available in Beauty Bar stores located at Central Square in Bonifacio High Street Central, Eastwood, Greenbelt 5, Power Plant Mall, Shangri-La Plaza Mall and TriNoma.
