In/completion: A Fashion Editorial feat. 0917 Lifestyle’s Emerging Designer Collections
From 2D to tangible, these collections are yours for the taking
A lesson that we seem to learn over and over, is that there’s a certain kind of magic that comes along with seeing things come to life. Seeds to plants, fictional pumpkins to carriages—the transformation story is one we can’t help but gravitate towards. It’s magnetic, which might be why we haven’t quite gotten over 0917 Lifestyle’s Future of Design collabs just yet.
From a sea of promising creatives, three forward-thinking designers were selected to create streetwear collections for 0917 Lifestyle in time for stylefestph.
From sketch to sample to shoppable. How’s that for a transformation story?

NICOLO PEREZ FOR 0917 LIFESTYLE gray oversized blazer and printed minskirt, CHARLES & KEITH woven block-heeled sandals with fringe detail
On Stanly: NICOLO PEREZ FOR 0917 LIFESTYLE oversized jacket with accent pocket, resort collar button-down shirt with stripe detail, blue shorts with orange panel detail, PEDRO white leather sneakers
On Sam: NICOLO PEREZ FOR 0917 LIFESTYLE printed denim jacket, ruffled denim skirt, CHARLES & KEITH orange high-heeled sandals
Nicolo Perez finished off as strong as he had started. Full of promise right off the bat, Nicolo answered to masterful sketches and big expectations with a cohesive collection built on a foundation of boxy shapes and an abundance of denim. Also in the equation: variable grid prints, palate-cleansing grays and a little asymmetry to keep us guessing.
On Sam: G GAMBALOZA FOR 0917 LIFESTYLE orange long-sleeved top with embroidered detail and white sleeveless jumpsuit with blue panel detail, CHARLES & KEITH orange high-heeled sandals
On Stanly: G GAMBALOZA FOR 0917 LIFESTYLE orange sleeveless top with cut-out and white track pants with 0917 detail, PEDRO white leather sneakers
G Gambaloza’s collection has a quiet sort of bravery to it, slow and steady and reminiscent of the designer herself. Jumping off from her graduation collection, G’s streetwear pieces skirt around the idea of life’s puzzling incompletion by way of cut-outs and unusual silhouettes. Expect subtle peeks at skin, a covetable microprint and separates that will make you want to play around with layering.

On Stanly: DINO BANCORO FOR 0917 LIFESTYLE high-neck pixel-printed top, monochrome long vest, pixel-printed shorts, PEDRO white leather sneakers
On Sam: DINO BANCORO FOR 0917 LIFESTYLE sleeveless long hoodie
On Stanly: DINO BANCORO FOR 0917 LIFESTYLE high-neck pixel-printed top, black perforated jacket with belt detail and monochrome pixel-printed pants, PEDRO black leather boots
It seems designer Dino Bancoro has always been something of a futurist—and we aren’t just talking about how cutting-edge his distinct pixel prints are. With no formal background in fashion design, Dino took to online tutorials to learn how to turn yards of fabric into actual, wearable pieces. His self-taught mastery seeps through and trickles down to every piece in his collection, from the tank tops and t-shirts to the intricate outerwear.
With their best foot forward and heart on their sleeve, each of these designers has lent a piece of themselves to 0917. Despite the big promise and potential in each piece, this much is certain: there’s lots more where these collections came from.
