All new products and shades to match every Filipino’s undertones
Homegrown brand Issy & Co. has always heroed uncomplicated, straightforward beauty with their selection of easy-to-use products. In the midst of a pandemic, they’ve highlighted the biggest beauty trend of 2021: skinimalism. With the brand’s continued commitment to good-for-your-skin products, they released Skin On The Go 2.0 to respond to public demand for more range, more inclusivity and more real skin.
In our exclusive one-on-one with Issy & Co. brand ambassador Alex Gonzaga, she shares, “At least with Issy, you know that whatever you’re applying on your face, everything is healthy and [your skin] will be fine even five or ten years from now. Walang bad effect sa skin and face mo and good for the environment (There’s no bad effect on your skin and face and good for the environment).”
Active Skin Tint (P499)
Through an authentic dialogue with Issy girls, the brand had more insight into what loyal consumers wanted from their range of “beauty made easy” products. Joel Andrade, Issy & Co. co-founder and creative director, notes, “We’re proud to be the brand that offers the most diverse selection of shades. And due to the overwhelming support from our customers, we’re able to push the boundaries even further this time. We listened to what they needed and wanted, went back to the drawing board, and researched how we can develop our base makeup line—and make it even better.”
For the brand’s drop this October, they’re reintroducing Skin On The Go and releasing a full range of their bestselling products in order to match every Filipino’s varying complexions and undertones as closely as possible. In a local beauty landscape with only two to three shades available for face products, this is game-changing.
The repackaged, bestselling Active Skin Tint (P499) is now available in nine inclusive shades. Issy & Co. now offers a variety of three light shades, three medium shades and three deep shades to cover the full spectrum of Filipinos’ skin tones and undertones. The oil-free, tinted moisturizer, formulated with hero hydration product niacinamide, offers sun protection, too, with a Broad Spectrum UVB/UVA SPF 35.
In an exclusive Skin Masterclass with celebrity makeup artist Slo Lopez and model Daisy Ladriere AKA daze (new Paradise Rising act), the products were put to the test. For the professional MUA, the water-based formula works best with fingers or a dense brush, rather than a sponge, to absorb the product better and get the best coverage. Slo recommends not to use a primer with this particular formula but to, of course, apply skincare beforehand.
Active Concealer (P399)
Weightless Loose Powder (P349)
To complement the Skin On The Go 2.0 range, Issy & Co. introduces the all-new Active Concealer (P399) available in nine shades, which you can use to spot conceal and brighten dull, tired skin. Formulated with sodium hyaluronate, the lightweight concealer helps maintain skin’s water balance, and with avocado extract to help calm skin from irritation. Use alone or to complement your equally hardworking Active Skin Tint!
On the other hand, the bestselling talc-free, finely-milled Weightless Loose Powder (P349) comes in a new radiant finish, which gives you selfie-perfect skin. It comes in three other finishes: illuminating, translucent and mattifying.
For Slo Lopez and Issy & Co. co-founder Joel Andrade, makeup is dynamic. Do what works for you! With the right products and some helpful techniques from the Skin On The Go 2.0 range, you can achieve the best results—it’s your skin, only better.
